The act of succeeding, or following after; a following of things in order of time or place, or a series of things so following; sequence

Prophet comes from the Greek word for “spokesman,” which explains another definition of prophet: someone who speaks on behalf of God.

Elijah runs Away 1 Kings 19:1-9

•Travels a day journey into the wilderness

•Sat under a broom bush and wanted to die

“I have had enough, I want to die!”

(Broom bush 6-8 ft. Shelter, fuel, food.)

God is a our provision!

•Sulking “I am no better than my parents”

•Lays down and falls asleep 3x

•Angel feeds him baked bread and water(2x)

•travels 40 days and nights

•He reaches Horeb, Mountain of God

•Enters a cave and spends the night
