Jesus Hangs Out In Dark Alleys

Jesus Hangs Out In Dark Alleys
March Newsletter - 2025
(Stunt Alley) - Not the actual alley from story, but looks very similar.
We're so grateful for all of you partnering with us in this work of reaching the lost through your friendship, prayers, and giving to the Lord that keeps us on the street. It literally saves lives❤️

*So much happens in ministry, too much to write about. We choose 1 or 2 stories each newsletter to share so it's not overwhelming.
On the streets downtown...
Last Monday, Our ministry team went downtown together. There were a lot of people out walking around shopping, out on dates, and being with family with an overall feeling of gratefulness for good weather. There were also the normal homeless crowd in the park. There was a young man shouting random things, which isn't unusual for downtown. We were able to have a great conversation with him and someone from our team handed him the book of John. He ended up reading it to his "street mom". Her eyes lit up while listening to the Gospel, because it had been a while since she's heard it.

We talked with a few people and I felt very determined to see God move more before we had to leave. We had enough time for possibly 2 more conversations, when we noticed a young man in a dark alley skateboarding. I felt very drawn to him and I asked, "Can we pray with you?" He said, "yes", so I asked him what we should pray about and what he's interested in. He said he makes music for Spotify and would like prayer for that. I was excited to hear that because our family are also musicians. He told us that his music was about encouraging people to not let their past define them. I could tell that this way of thinking came from God. The conversation led to hearing God's voice and we found out that he'd never accepted Jesus in his heart, but he'd been reading the Bible recently. So, I shared the reason that I accepted Jesus and asked him if he wanted to as well. He thought about it for a couple of seconds and said, "Yes". He prayed with us, accepted Jesus, received prayer for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit after we explained it, and sent him on his way to catch his bus ride with a Gospel of John and one of our teammates name and phone number in it to stay in contact. Another brother in Christ was born last Monday and we could see that Jesus had already been perusing him through music & His Word.
