Jesus Loves Telemarketers
May Newsletter - 2025
We're so grateful for all of you partnering with us in this work of reaching the lost through your friendship, prayers, and giving to the Lord that keeps us on the street. It literally saves lives❤️

*So much happens in ministry, too much to write about. We choose 1 or 2 stories each newsletter to share so it's not overwhelming.

Family Time...
So many special things have happened this year and will continue to happen. This May, our oldest daughter, Julia, will graduate high school and has gotten her driver's license. Ryan, has really taken off with learning guitar and is a very talented musician. Arabella has gained a lot of interest in keeping plants & gardening, and our youngest son, Jackson, will have his 2nd birthday in less than 2 weeks! We're looking forward to celebrating Shari with Mother's Day and how much she means to us all!

We had great quality time with our families during our trip to Indiana & Kentucky, a Navigators I:58 retreat, and an overnight with our amazing friends in Iowa on our drive back. It's truly been a treasured season for us so far in 2025. We look forward to some of our family's new homesteading ventures, like ducks, chickens, and beekeeping. We'll let you know how it goes!
Spiritual Conversations...
Shari & I have been bombarded with phone calls recently of people trying to sell us something or they say that we owe money to a bank that we aren't members of. Sometimes it seems like "scam likely" is my best friend because he calls me several times a day. I normally answer the calls just to tell them to take me off of their list politely and don't give it another thought. But, God lead me in this "radical" idea. "What if I could talk to them about God's will and plan for their life?" Ok God, let's do it!

I put on headphones so I could keep working as I talked. I was curious as to how far the conversations would go. When they found out that I wasn't buying into their agenda, would they end the conversation? The calls started early at 8am and every 30 minutes to an hour after that. I asked them about life in general, if they believed in God, and if they knew that God had a plan for their life. I wondered, "Would they want to know it?"

I talked with a guy who hadn't read the Bible in years. He knew he had one, just didn't know where it was. He was interested in this idea of being able to hear from God through the Holy Spirit. His wife was raised Muslim and he was raised in a traditional Christian family. They both had left their faith because they didn't see life in it. They saw what religion leads to and didn't want anything to do with it. But, yet, he's opening up to me and asking very genuine questions about God. He wanted to know what translation to read, how was I sure I'm believing the right way, and he added that he really cared about people and if he could make a difference in someone's life eternally, he would. My answers for his questions all centered around relationship and communication with Jesus that I explained in different ways. When we ended the conversation, he had a spark of curiosity about this idea that he could have a personal relationship with God. Today, I don't know where his heart is with God. I may never talk to him again. You could say, that was just a phone call, nothing happened. What's the big deal? You can't disciple him or be a part of his life so, why try? "... The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed...", Mark 4:26, but please read Mark 4:21- 29 for more context. Please pray for him, that others would come along side him and water the seeds that were sown in his heart and that he and his family can experience a relationship with Jesus.
